The Bluetones is an English indie rock band formed in Hounslow, London, in 1993, who rose to prominence as a leading force in the Britpop movement. 英国ロンドン・ハウンズロー出身、1990年代のブリットポップ狂騒曲の中で、一際スウィートで繊細なメロディを奏でた実力派4人組。1993年の結成以来、デビューアルバム『Expecting to Fly』が全英1位を記録し、「Slight Return」などのヒット曲で、サイケデリックなエッセンスとバブルガム・ポップの親しみやすさを融合させた独自の地位を確立した。
